If you’re looking for a fuller sound with more presence in the low frequencies than a compact speaker can provide, the SUB15 is the natural extension of the Tepuy system. Unlike conventional subwoofers, the SUB15 acts more like a mid-bass reinforcement unit—delivering punch, depth, and authority without sacrificing precision. Its sealed enclosure is designed to integrate seamlessly with the KONO, whose lightweight cones and oversized magnetic motors ensure fast transients and dynamic response. The SUB15 reproduces elements like kick drums and basslines with speed and clarity, staying in perfect sync with the system and avoiding overwhelming or boomy bass.

It features a high-efficiency 15” woofer (100 dB @ 1W/1m) capable of moving a large amount of air effortlessly. Instead of pursuing an ultra-flat 20 Hz response, the focus is on delivering tight and impactful bass down to 35 Hz, while maintaining clarity through the low-mids. The SUB15 is designed to be managed via an external DSP amplifier, allowing you to adjust crossover points, phase, gain, and EQ with surgical precision. For domestic installations, we also offer an optional version with a quiet built-in DSP amplifier and room calibration via measurement mic.

Does it require amplification?
Yes. The SUB15 does not include a built-in amplifier or crossover.
It must be connected to a dedicated DSP-managed amp channel (such as a Powersoft X4 or Duecanali) that allows precise control over level, crossover, phase, and EQ.

Can I use it with KONO loudspeakers?

Absolutely. The SUB15 is designed to complement the KONO system as a third way, providing a smooth and natural transition from midbass to subbass without altering the system’s tonal character.

Is it suitable for home use?

Yes. While it’s designed with professional integration in mind, we also offer a silent, self-powered version with built-in DSP, preconfigured for home use and adjustable via measurement mic. Contact us for details.

What type of connections does it use?

The SUB15 uses gold-plated binding post terminals, compatible with bare copper wire or banana plugs. These ensure a solid, distortion-free connection.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship from Barcelona to all of Europe.

What kind of speaker cable is recommended?

We recommend using high-purity OFC copper cables with a minimum cross-section of 2.5 mm², low resistance and low capacitance. For applications requiring greater precision and build quality, handcrafted cables from specialist manufacturers such as Wires 4 Music may offer additional value.
